we turn down the back roads
that take us to our suburban home
my wife gets a glance
of a woman sitting on her porch
on her laptop
'look at grandma on the laptop', she says
I can only chuckle and say
it's granny on her wi-fi
in between chuckles
we agree on one thing
granny is better connected than we are
